For seven years, the talented young singer-pianist Elodie Mam’s has led her trio, Equinox, showcasing the full breadth of her artistry. Jazz is second nature to her, having completed her studies in piano and jazz singing at the Lyon Conservatory by the age of 20. Through her original compositions—rooted in the meditative and untamed energy of nature—she crafts a vibrant musical garden where the elegant sweetness of her voice intertwines seamlessly with her pianistic phrasing, reminiscent of the virtuosity of Hiromi Uehara.

Joined by a dynamic rhythm section featuring Sabri Belaid on drums and Noé Desmares on bass, Elodie Mam’s brings her joyful and virtuosic music to life on stage. Their synergy and talent have taken them across countless venues, earning them recognition such as winning the Jazz au Sommet competition last spring.

OKWOK is volcanic jazz infused with cyclical rhythms and bold harmony oscillating between consonance and dissonance. Drawing their inspiration from the tumultuous and peaceful phases of volcanoes, the trio explores ambivalent and contrasting musical territories. After its first opus, ‘Our Ten Inner Shadows’, OKWOK unveils a second album, ‘The Valley Session’, which explores a whole new world of sound.
